Aside from an enjoy for hoops, it would seem in which Lucas and Nathan are two teenage boys with little in popular, but they are bound by the dark secret that they share the identical father.
Arrogant and assured, Nathan is the star with the high school basketball team and comes from a wealthy family. Quiet and driven, Lucas is the only child of any single working mom. He is also some sort of legendary playground basketball participant.
After growing up on opposite sides in the tracks in the same small town of Shrub Hill, North Carolina, the two boys lives suddenly collide if a twist of fate applies Lucas on Nathans high school graduation basketball team and the half-brothers compete, not only for control from the court, but also for ones heart of Nathans beautiful sweetheart Peyton Sawyer.
While the teenagers find it difficult to find their places in the world, the adults in Tree Hill are handling the residue of decisions they made years ago. Nathans father Dan along with Lucas mother Karen were school sweethearts. When Karen became pregnant in their senior year, she was devastated by Dans decision to put his own life as well as career first. He went off to college on the basketball scholarship, leaving Karen behind to raise their son Lucas by yourself. When Dans dream of any basketball career didnt figure out, he returned to town with all the wife he met in college and his new son, Nathan. Now a wealthy businessman and one of the primary fish in the small pond of Tree Slope, Dan lives his baseball dreams through Nathan.
Lucas and Nathans new rivalry don and doff the court has even brought back old emotions for the actual grizzled basketball coach, Whitey Durham. Whitey coached Nathans father, Dan, when he was this schools star player, and now he is actually coaching both of Dans kids. He knows he is partly to blame for Dans decision to not quit his scholarship when Karen evolved into pregnant, and he has in order to juggle conflicting responsibilities and loyalties toward the two boys.
Years in the making, a deep and poisonous conflict slowly unfolds as the two boys struggle to be prepared for who they really are and a father who has chosen to call home vicariously through one child, while ignoring the existence on the other.
One Tree Hill is definitely an American television drama put together by Mark Schwahn, which premiered on Sept 23, 2003, on The WB Tv set Network. After the series finally season, The WB merged with UPN to form The CW Television Community, and since September twenty-seven, 2006, the network has been the state broadcaster of the show in the us.
