He went off to college with a basketball scholarship, leaving Karen behind to improve their son Lucas alone. When Dans dream of the basketball career didnt work out, he returned to town while using the wife he met inside college and his fresh son, Nathan. Now a wealthy businessman and the most significant fish in the tiny pond of Tree Mountain, Dan lives his field hockey dreams through Nathan.
Lucas and Nathans new rivalry on and off the court has even brought back old emotions for your grizzled basketball coach, Whitey Durham. Whitey coached Nathans daddy, Dan, when he was the actual schools star player, and now he can be coaching both of Dans sons. He knows he is partly responsible for Dans decision to not throw in the towel his scholarship when Karen grew to become pregnant, and he has for you to juggle conflicting responsibilities and loyalties toward both boys.
Years in the creating, a deep and nasty conflict slowly unfolds because the two boys struggle to understand who they really are plus a father who has chosen to live on vicariously through one daughter, while ignoring the existence from the other.
