HTC’s second tablet was first revealed in an FCC filing earlier this month, but its technical specifications and features were a mystery. We knew the device was codenamed the Puccini, and we knew it had a 10-inch screen, but that was all we knew — until today!
Boy Genius Report has obtained images and technical specs for the device, which I must say looks pretty darn attractive. There’s still no confirmation of its final name, so for the time being it will continue to be known as the Puccini. It will boast an 8-megapixel camera — better than any other tablet on the market — with what appears to be a dual LED flash. It also features stereo speakers and a microphone. Just like HTC’s first tablet, the Flyer, the Puccini will support stylus input as you can see from the photo above.

So those are the confirmed specs, according to BGR, but we’re left to speculate on the Puccini’s other internals. Earlier reports have claimed the device will pack a 1.5GHz processor and a high-speed 4G LTE radio. It’s also expected to run Android Honeycomb and HTC Sense.
There’s also no word on its launch date just yet, but we can’t wait to get our hands on the Puccini so we’re hoping HTC doesn’t keep us waiting too long. The device has already been approved by the FCC, so there’s a chance it’ll drop before the end of summer.
With a 10-inch screen and some impressive features, the Puccini is surely aimed at rivaling Apple’siPad 2, but will it be a worthy adversary? Are you excited for its launch?
